They are starting to release some images slowly. Here, from IGN is an image of JEH as Rorschach lighting a guy on fire! Cool!!!
If you look closely, you can see Jackie on the far left.
This photo is from the Official Watchmen Blog.
I'm getting stoked!
The casting is slowly being confirmed and it appears that Jude Law and Kate Winslet are out but JEH is totally in as Rorschach - the LEAD character! Yay!
Chicago Sun Times reports it here.
It has been reveled by Paddy Considine that Jackie Earle Haley is now set to play the masked vigilante Rorschach in the film adaptation of Watchmen.
Considine was originally set to play the character, back when Paul Greengrass was attached to direct. Now, it seems the former Bad News Bears actor has been hired for the role.

Cinematical.com also writes a nice little piece on JEH's upcoming roles in Jackie Earle Haley Sittin' On Top of the World.
Haley then will join Kate Beckinsale, Forest Whitaker, Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce in the drama "Winged Creatures," portraying an abusive husband and angry father.
Finally, Haley will shoot "Bolden!" an indie drama on which Wynton Marsalis will serve as a producer. The period biopic stars Anthony Mackie as Buddy Bolden, the first man of New Orleans jazz. Haley will portray a judge at the centre of most of the lucrative but corrupt activities in New Orleans.

And of course, we still have those Watchmen rumors floating out there......................Go Jackie Earle, Go!
The Watchmen speculation is gathering steam:
Now Comics2Film.com has a new name to add to the mix: Oscar nominee Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children). Haley, a former child star who appeared in the Bad News Bears films, made a comeback last year with roles in two high-profile dramas, Little Children and All the King's Men.

As 300 tears things up at the box office, geeks are starting to now set their sights on Zach Snyder’s Watchmen, which is currently set for a 2008 release. The pre-production seems to be rolling along just fine, so that means it’s about time for the rumors to start flying about casting.
There have already been some rumors about Tom Cruise, which seem to have been debunked, and everyone knew that back a couple of years ago Jude Law wanted to be Ozymandias. We have also heard slow grumblings about the possibility of Simon Pegg as our favorite paranoid psychopath, Rorschach.
However, I am here today with a fresh rumor as I have just heard from an anonymous source and friend who is friends with Jackie Earle Haley. You should remember Jackie as the smoking, cursing kid in Bad News Bears. And hopefully you were cheering for him this year at the Oscars, as he was nominated for Little Children. It seems there is some buzz going around about Jackie playing Rorschach.
Still no confirmations, but that’s what I’m hearing through the pipeline.

Red carpet romantics who want to relive the glitz of the 2007 Academy Awards will enjoy "And The Winner Is," an exhibition of costumes from Oscar-nominated movies from yesterday and today which is on display at The Hollywood Museum through April 1, 2007. Actor Jackie Earle Haley, who was in the running for the golden statue for his role in "Little Children' and former child star Margaret O'Brien, who was presented with an Oscar in 1944, were on hand at the unveiling of the display of film fashions, which includes garments worn by Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett in "Babel," Helen Mirren in the role of England's monarch in "The Queen," Penelope Cruz in "Volver," Kate Winslet in "Little Children" and Scarlett Johansson in "The Prestige," as well as dresses that adorned such iconic silver screen silhouette as Vivien Leigh in "Gone With The Wind" and Judy Garland in "A Star Is Born." It's only a lowbrow comedy, but "Semi-Pro" has some Oscar cachet.
That is, one of the cast members - no, not Will Ferrell - of the Flint-set basketball movie was a recent Academy Award nominee. He's comeback guy Jackie Earle Haley, a nominee as a suburban sex offender in "Little Children."
Haley, a San Antonio resident, told the San Antonio Express-News that he'll play a basketball fan who gets to try a long shot for big money at halftime of a game.
